Currents

MetOcean use MetOcean CM-04 acoustic current meters, RDI Workhorse ADCP's and 75 kHz Broadband ADCP's for current and water temperature measurements.

CM-04 Acoustic Current MetersCM-04

The use of a moored instrument is the standard method of obtaining information about circulation of ocean waters. The CM-04 acoustic current meter is a self-contained instrument that can be moored to record vector-averaged ocean currents and water temperature. The instrument has been specifically designed for the accurate measurement of solitons and other high frequency current phenomena. Using the latest in high speed, low power, embedded microprocessor technology and flash memory the instrument will operate for extended durations

RDI Workhorse ADCPRDI Workhorse

MetOcean use the RDI Workhorse 300 kHz ADCP to measure current speed and direction in moored applications. The Workhorse can be mounted in a flotation collar, seabed frame or in-line mooring frame.

RDI 75 kHz Broadband ADCPRDI 75 kHz

MetOcean use the RDI 74kHz Broadband ADCP to measure current speed and direction in both self contained and real-time mode. The ADCP is mounted in an in-line mooring frame. Maximum profiling range 500 m.
