Maintenance & Calibrations
Routine maintenance and calibration of most oceanographic and meteorological instruments and the associated equipment is required to maintain accuracy, reliability and overall performance of equipment. The end result is high confidence in the acquired data sets.
MetOcean have facilities and resources specifically setup to maintain and calibrate the complete range of instruments and equipment. Everything from an air temperature sensor through to a directional wave buoy or current meter can be fully calibrated within the MetOcean calibration procedures.
Where it is not feasible to return equipment to base for services to be carried out, field maintenance and calibration services can also be performed.
All facets of maintenance and calibration are fully documented, with calibrations usually traceable to a NATA or manufacturer's standard.
